  Location: SJS Gymnasium

  Drama club consists of 3 workshops for the upcoming 2018/19 year. Students will learn basic theater knowledge. Students are required to attend all three workshops. 

  Students are not required to join the drama club to participate in the musical but it is highly recommended. See here for more details on the Drama Club 2018/19.

• Pasta Dinner

  Attention Parishioners of St. Padre Pio—Let us gather and break Bread! As Jesus was recognized by the breaking of the bread, let us join in solidarity and get to know each other better at this first celebration of St. Padre Pio parish. Please join the St. John/St. Mark Communities at the SJS Gym at 6:00 p.m. this Friday, December 7, after the 5:00 p.m. holy day vigil Mass for a delicious spaghetti dinner. We look forward to seeing you!

• Old Saybrook Torchlight Parade

  Saturday December 8th, 2018, 5.30pm

  St. John School Families are welcome and encouraged to march in the town of Old Saybrook's annual Torchlight parade. The St. John Community will be participating with an illuminated scene/float, followed by parish and school members. All participants are welcome to walk behind the float. Please have your child dressed warmly and bring water. 

  Parents may park in the big lot near the SJS playground and walk to Liberty Bank to meet Mother Elaine and Sister Gabriela at 5.30pm. You may meet us back at the Sheridan Center to pick up your children and for refreshments after the parade between 6.30pm - 7pm. Mother Elaine and Sister Gabriela will be the the students. Parents are encouraged to watch the parade.
