    SJS students will participate in a school wide buddies activity representing the Seven Days of Creation.

  • SJS Drama Club Workshop #3 (Final Workshop)

    Monday November 4th, 2019, 3pm — 5pm

    Location: SJS Gymnasium

    Three workshops will be held this year to get students prepared for this year's drama production in the Spring. 

    - Workshops will be held in SJS Gymnasium

    - Workshops are not necessary to participate in the SJS drama

    Tuesday November 5th, 2019, 8.50am — 9am

    Our eighth graders will teach a class to their assigned grade.  They have prepared a lesson and are very excited to share their knowledge of God with the younger members of our school family. 

    *All are welcome to visit from 8:50-9:30 for our Morning Prayer and Religion classes.

    Students will learn about the 3V’s of Public Speaking: the Vocal, Visual, and Verbal.  Topics under the 3V’s will include: 

    • Helpful and hurtful body language 
    • Visual aids 
    • Verbal “distractions” 
    • How to bring a speech to life with your words 
    • How to use your voice to engage the audience 
    • How to craft a speech using the fundamentals of speech structure 

    For students registered for program from Grades 6-8. 

    Note: students should bring a notebook.

    You are welcome to visit our school for a special morning of prayer and reflection on the life and work of St. Padre Pio.

    *Adoration with relic of St. Padre Pio 9:00 AM (St. John Church)

    *Students will learn more about the life of St. Pio in their classrooms.

    *Students will tour the school-wide Celebrate God’s Gift: “AMERICA” display in the school gym.

    * All are welcome to visit the displays in the gym, as well as tour the school to view decorated classroom doors at 1:30 PM.

     

  • Catholic School's Week - Blessing of the Animals

    As part of the this year's St. John School Catholic School's Week theme, "Living in Harmony with God's Creation", there will be a Blessing of the Animals. This will take place on the lawn between the Sheridan Center and Rectory. 

  • Veterans Day Assembly

    Monday November 11th, 2019, 9am

    Location: SJS Gymnasium

    The Veteran's Day Assembly will include music, prayer, poems and student reflections on the importance of the day.  Family members, especially veterans, are invited to attend.  A reception will follow the Veteran's Day assembly.

    The Fall Festival includes entertainment, dinner, and dessert for ticket holders and the Saint John School & Parish families.  The Luxury Raffle drawing will take place at 7:00pm.
