  • Comcast Cares Day

    Saturday April 25th, 2015, 8:30am — 12:30pm

St. John School has teamed up to participate once again in “Comcast Cares Day”, a day that brings together employees, their families, friends and community partners around the world to volunteer and make change happen in local communities and it allows students of St. John School an excellent opportunity for service to the community.

The Connecticut Trees of Honor Memorial, Inc. is dedicated to constructing a living-trees memorial at Veterans’ Memorial Park on Walnut Grove Road in Middletown, CT. This memorial will honor all veterans and especially those with ties to Connecticut. It will encompass a beautifully designed space that will include a tree planted for each of Connecticut’s heroes who gave their life serving in the most recent wars.  We will participate in beautifying Vets Park and the American Legion Hall located on Washington Street in Middletown.  Projects include light painting, park clean-up and more at this very special site that honors Connecticut's Veterans. This volunteer opportunity is child and family friendly.

Details and contact information will be emailed to all SJS families.
