Pre-Kindergarten 4 -  Mrs. Munson

My name is Mrs. Marcia Munson, this was my first year at St. Johns teaching preschool. I have loved being a part of this school community.  I have over 15 years of experience working with students from preschool through 5 thgrade. I was a paraprofessional for both LEARN and Westbrook Public Schools. I was a religious teacher for 20 years and the religious education coordinator for 5 years at St. Mary’s Church in Clinton.

My philosophy in teaching Preschool is to give each student age appropriate independence along with learning the foundational concepts through play.  Outside of school, I am a mother to two grown children; Ellie Sykes and Matthew Munson. I am also grandmother to Sophia Sykes, her baby sister arriving in July and Diesel Munson (grand dog). My husband, David and I live in Killingworth and share our home with two basset hounds, Charlie and Max.
